Exploring Hampstead Heath

It has always been my dream to spend a few days in Hampstead and I did just that past winter. We stayed at this charming B&B called Iolanthe in the middle of Hamptead. This area was so verdant and inviting that we immediately dropped our bags after check in so we can head out and explore.

We decided to make our way to Hampstead High Street for some breakfast.  We found Gail’s Artisan Bakery along the main street. As luck would have it, our Italian favorite, Venchi is across from the bakery. Pastries on one hand, and super thick hot chocolate on another. It was a perfect way to start our Hampstead Adventure!

We definitely enjoyed meandering along Hampstead High Street. It’s cobbled sidewalks, cute alleyways (see the house with the lilac door), charming buildings (King William IV), and shops (Zadig & Voltaire, Bimba y Lola, etc.) were more than enough to entertain a wandering soul.
From Hampstead High Street, we made our way up to Heath Street towards Hampstead Heath. It was so refreshing to be surrounded with green grass, tall trees, fresh air, and by the beauty of nature in the middle of London. As we trudged along the muddy trails, all I could think of was how lucky we were to be living in this unforgettable moment.
