Some people find Rome daunting and overwhelming because of its history. I was overwhelmed but in a good way. I must admit that we fell into the tourist trap and acted just like everyone else when my sister and I visited Rome. We went to most, if not, all of the places in Rome that every tourist had gone. My interest in history, arts and architecture took precedence over my persistence in not doing anything “touristy”. I couldn’t resist not seeing the Colosseum, Palatine Hills, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, The Vatican, Spanish Steps, etc.
